Access to Higher Education Diploma (Osteopathic Sciences & Health Care)

students in a lecture

The Access to HE course is a one-year part time course designed to give those who need it the right foundation knowledge to continue on to further study on our M.Ost course. It is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career in osteopathy, but aren't yet ready to undertake the full M.Ost degree programme. Our Access students come from all walks of life: they may have been out of education for some time, be making a career change, come from a non-academic background or even straight from school or college.

The course lasts for one academic year, beginning in September and ending in June. All students who successfully complete the course are guaranteed a place on the M.Ost full-time or M.Ost part time course the following year.

The Access course is validated by Laser Learning Awards.

Key teaching areas

  • Foundation level biological and physical sciences
  • Introduction to psychology and sociology for healthcare students
  • Communication and critical thinking skills
