Learning Support
The Student Learning Advisor is available to support
students with academic skills. The advisor offers workshops
and 1:1 support and the service can be tailored to suit
individual needs. The Student Learning Advisor also
manages the student's PDP’s (Professional Development
Portfolios). The department provides support for dyslexia
where this is needed.
Disabled students
Disabilities can arise at any time during your course,
but if you are aware please let Admissions know at the
onset so that appropriate provisions can be made. Introduction
and Evaluation Days provide opportunities for all prospective
students to see if the course is right for them and
whether they will be able to meet the course requirements.
To discuss your needs further before applying please
ask to speak to the Student Welfare Advisor. If appropriate
the Advisor will also support you through the process
of applying for the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA).
