The
Chapman Clinic was opened in 2001 and is dedicated to
providing osteopathic treatment which is free to patients
diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.
Osteopathic treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS
can bring improvements to quality of life by addressing
the particular musculo-skeletal dysfunction they often
experience
The Chapman Clinic runs three times a week in the BSO's
clinical centre. Treatment is provided by osteopathic
students supervised and supported by tutors who are
qualified osteopaths, and who have a specialist interest
in HIV/AIDS, drug therapies, associated pathologies
and the musculo-skeletal presentation of HIV/AIDS.
The Chapman Clinic's work is generously supported by
the Peter Moores Foundation.
