What can osteopaths help with?

student performing treatment

Osteopaths are manual therapists (similar to physiotherapists) who treat the person rather than specific conditions - for example, an injury to your knee might also affect the foot, hip and spine. Some of the conditions that osteopathy may be able to help with include:

  • General aches and pains
  • Arthritic pain
  • Joint pain
  • Sciatica
  • Muscle spasms
  • Headache arising from the neck
  • Sports injuries
  • Muscular tensions
  • Persistent pain

If you are unsure whether osteopathy might be able to help with your condition please ring the clinic. The reception team will be able to arrange for an osteopath to ring you back and discuss your problem. There is more information about what to expect from osteopathic treatment on the website of the General Osteopathic Council.
